Frequently Asked Questions
About our work together
What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session is about creating safety and connection. We'll take time to understand what brings you here, discuss your hopes for therapy, and explore how your body holds your experiences. I'll explain my approach and answer any questions you have. Together, we'll establish a foundation of trust for our therapeutic journey.
How long does therapy usually last?
Each person's healing journey is unique. Some clients work with me for a few months, others for a year or longer. We'll regularly check in about your progress and adjust our work together based on your needs and goals. Most clients find that weekly or bi-weekly sessions provide the most supportive container for deep healing.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer both online and in-person sessions. Online therapy can be equally effective, and I've created specific approaches to ensure our virtual space feels just as holding and supportive as meeting in person.
Practicalities
What are your fees and payment options?
You can find the costs of my sessions here. I offer a sliding scale and reduced costs are possible to ensure therapy is accessible. We can discuss this during our discovery call.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for any changes or cancellations to be made up to 24 hours before the session. This allows me to offer the time to others who might need it. Sessions cancelled with less notice will be charged at full fee, except in emergencies.
About specific sessions
What's the difference between Compassionate Inquiry sessions and the Integration Support?
Compassionate Inquiry sessions focus on deep therapeutic work through gentle conversation and somatic awareness. Integration sessions specifically support preparation for and integration of psychedelic experiences, helping you ground insights into daily life.
Do I need previous experience with body-based practices?
No previous experience is needed. I'll guide you gently and at your own pace in connecting with your body's wisdom. The practices we explore together are accessible to everyone.
Getting started
How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?
The best way to explore this is through a free 30-minute discovery call. This gives us both a chance to connect, discuss your needs, and feel whether working together resonates. It's important that you feel comfortable and supported by your therapist.
How do I prepare for our first session?
Simply come as you are. Wear comfortable clothing, for online sessions find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed, and bring any questions you have. Remember, there's no need to prepare or perform - our work together is about meeting you exactly where you are.
